Your web browser will cache the files from the application so that they do not have to be downloaded each time you use it. Occasionally these files can become out of date. Follow the steps below to empty the cache and fetch the latest files from our server.
You can also use a private browsing window. As this window is private, it will force a fresh download of the latest version of the application. The instructions on how to do this for the major browsers are listed below:

For Safari on MacOS, Go to Safari > Empty Cache, or hit ⌘ Command+⌥ Option+E. To refresh, click the refresh button on the addressbar or press ⌘ Command+R.
If you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your web browser on a desktop, you can follow the steps below:
1. Ensure you are using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge as your web browser.
2. Press CTRL + SHIFT + I to bring up the Developer Tools.
3. Right click on the reload button and select Clear Cache and Hard Reload.

We’re growing and have reached the limitations of what we could do with the MorzAviation platform hosted at https://www.morzaviation.com. As such, we have developed a brand-new platform and brand which has been available for some time here at https://www.groundschool.aero. We have also been running MorzAviation parallel to Ground School so that users have time to move across. We have decided to finally shut down MorzAviation so that we can completely focus on Ground School.
Anyone who had an account on MorzAviation on the date of shut-down (30 July 2022) will automatically have had an account created on Ground School, and they would have been sent an email with their sign-in details. Unfortunately, the history of exams you have taken cannot be transferred to Ground School from MorzAviation.
This new platform provides a much better user experience and improved performance. We’ve gone through all the suggestions and comments sent from you, our users and considered the issues you’ve had with MorzAviation when designing the new platform.
This is just the start. Ground School will allow us to provide many new features in the future, the first of which is an application (mobile and desktop) to provide offline access to the content you have an active subscription for.
It’s been an exciting ride up to this point, and we thank all of you for making this possible.

If you do not have an account, you will be able to create a new account when making your first purchase, or sign up from the Sign In page. Once you are at the checkout page and are not signed in with an account, you will see a form asking you to provide the details required for you to create an account.
Once your order is processed, your account will be created and you will be able to sign in to access the content you purchased. When purchasing in the future, first sign in to your account before checking out. You will see that the prompt to create an account no longer displays as the purchase will automatically be assigned to the currently signed in account.
Sign in your account and then use the navigation menu to go to the Profile page. The link to this page will appear differently depending on whether you are on a desktop or mobile device.

On the top right of the page, you will see your username. Click on it to display a menu which contains the Profile link. On the profile page, you will find three tabs. One for Memberships, Exam Results, and Orders. If you click on the Memberships tab, you will see a list of all your current memberships, together with links to any courses or exams the memberships provide access to. -
Mobile
On the top right of the page, there are three dots. Tap on this and you will see your username. Tap on it to display a menu which contains the Profile link.
Sign in to your account and then use the navigation menu to navigate to the course or exam heading you want to access. They are listed in the navigation menu under the following headings: Courses/Exams → Jurisdiction → Qualification → Course.
Some examples of these are:
- Jurisdictions: SACAA, EASA, FAA
- Qualifications: PPL(A), PPL(H), Other
- Course: Principles of Flight, Meteorology, Night Rating

Alternatively, you can view your active memberships which contain links to all the courses and exams you currently have access to. Instructions for this are given above under Title: How can I view my active memberships?
Sign in your account and then use the navigation menu to go to the Profile page. The link to this page will appear differently depending on whether you are on a desktop or mobile device.
- Desktop:
On the top right of the page, you will see your username. Click on it to display a menu which contains the Profile link.
- Mobile:
On the top right of the page, there are three dots. Tap on this and you will see your username. Tap on it to display a menu which contains the Profile link.
You can also navigate directly to your profile page after signing in by using this URL: https://app.groundschool.aero/profile Once on the Profile page, you will see a checkbox with the text “I confirm I want my account deleted.”. Check this box and then click on the “Save Profile” button.
Your account will be archived for 2 weeks during which you will not be able to access the website unless you unarchive the account again. After 2 weeks your account will be deleted. This is not reversible and you will lose access to any memberships you currently have access to. You will also be signed out immediately.
Please note that we may still store some information related to your account as required by law.
No, this is not allowed by our Terms of Use. Each user has to have his own account. We have measures in place to detect when accounts are being shared by more than one person and reserve the right to revoke access from an account when we detect this is occurring.
While signing in, you normally cannot see the password you are typing in as it is masked for privacy purposes. If you are having problems signing in because the password you entered was incorrect, you can disable this mask by clicking on the button to the right of the Password field to see the password that you entered.
If you click the button again, the password will be masked again.
You may have issues signing into your account due to prerequisite steps you need to take such as:
Confirming Your Email Address
After signing in with a correct User Name or Email Address, and Password you may see a message telling you that you first need to confirm your email address before signing in. If you have not received your confirmation email, please click the button below the message to resend it.
Click on the Resend confirmation email button to have an email sent to you - you will also see a message that will let you know that the email was successfully sent. Once you receive the email, click on the link to verify your email address. Once verified, please sign in again.

Accepting the Terms of Use
You will not be able to sign in if you have not accepted our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. If this is the case, you will see the following message when signing in.
You can click on the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy links to view them. Please read through them carefully, and if you accept them, click on the button below the message. You will then be automatically signed in and won't have to complete this step again, unless the Terms of use and/or the Privacy Policy changes.
We do not sell physical products that are shipped to you, but access to content on the website. In order to provide you with this access, as well as to prevent access for unauthorized users, we require you to have an account with us so that we can identify you.
When you complete an order with us, we assign memberships to your account that provides you with access to the content based on the products in your order.
We do not store any credit card details but make use of trusted payment processors. We only work with payment providers that are fully PCI compliant. A list of our currently supported payment processors and links to their terms, conditions and privacy policies is contained within our own terms and conditions.
Use the navigation menu to navigate to the course or exam heading for you want to purchase. They are listed in the navigation menu under the following headings: Courses/Exams → Jurisdiction → Qualification → Course. Some examples of these are:

When on the course page, our software will detect whether your account has a membership that provides access to it. If you do not have access, then you will be shown which products can be purchased to provide access. Click on Purchase for the product you would like. In this screenshot, there is an option to only purchase access to the exam, or a bundle including all EASA PPL(A) exams. Once you have selected the product to purchase you will then be taken to the Cart. If you would like to purchase access to more content, repeat the steps above. You can purchase more than one product at a time.
Once you have added products for all the content you want access to into your cart, you can click the Checkout button on the cart page. If you need to get back to the Cart page from another page, you will find the link to it underneath Store on the navigation menu.
Once on the checkout page, confirm that your order summary contains all the items you want to purchase, and does not contain anything you do not want to purchase. You can always go back to the Cart page to remove unwanted products. If you are happy with the products, you need to agree to our Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, after which your payment options will be displayed. We support various payment processors. Generally we recommend using PayFast if paying from South Africa and FastSpring if you are paying from anywhere else. This is to reduce international payment fees for you. Either method will work however.
Fill in the payment details require for the payment processor. We do not store these details. They are used by the payment processor to facilitate your payment.
If you do not have a user account, you will see the form to sign up. If you already have an account, please sign in before continuing. Select your payment method, fill in the relevant details and click to pay at the bottom right of the page.
No, we do not automatically renew memberships. You will lose access to any content associated with a membership when it expires. If you still need access to some content after expiry, you will need to purchase another product that provides access to the content. We do not automatically renew memberships so that we avoid charging you for something you may have forgotten to cancel.
Please ensure that you are signed in to your account. If you are not signed in to your account then our software cannot tell that you have access and will prompt you to purchase access.
If you have recently purchased access to a course or exam, your order may still be processing. EFT payments can take up to 3 working days to process from some banks. Other payment methods are usually instant, but in some rare instances can take up to an hour.
You can change the items in your cart by navigating to the cart page. The cart page is accessible from the navigation menu by going to Store → Cart.
In the screenshot below, there is an additional product that was mistakenly added - SACAA PPL(H): Human Performance Exam. To remove it, it on the trashcan in the Action column.
This will remove the product from the cart and update the total price.
If you changed your mind while paying for an order, it will go into a "pending" state. You can safely ignore this and place a new order for the products that you want to purchase. Our system will automatically clean up old pending orders. We have to keep them around for a while for auditing purposes.
Courses are provided as text and images, in a similar format to an eBook. They are not available to be downloaded. If you would like to access them offline on your devices, please use our app for your platform.
You can take an exam as many times as you want while you have an active membership to the exam.
All the resources needed while taking an exam can be found under the Resources menu. This menu is only visible when signed in to the platform.
Yes, however to save data costs and storage space on your device, we do not sync all questions to the app. If you would like a fresh batch of questions on the app, go into Settings and choose to Sync the database.
We are excited to announce an exclusive offer for flight schools.
If you are a flight school, you can enjoy exclusive rates for our content and easier monitoring student progress. All you need to do is contact our support desk by sending an email to support@groundschool.aero. We will then create the student accounts and activate the memberships on those accounts. At the end of the month, we will then send the school an invoice for all the memberships processed that month.
You will also get a school account that allows you to track your students' progress and performance. This is a great tool for CFIs and instructors who want to provide feedback and guidance to their students. To get started, please email us at support@groundschool.aero.
To monitor the progress of your students, follow these steps:
1. Sign into the platform with your school account at https://app.groundschool.aero.
2. After signing in, you will be taken to the Home page.
3. Find the School Manager section, and then under Schools, you will see your flight school. Click on the View Details link.
4. On the Schools page, you will see a section for Students. Here you can view all the memberships a student has as well as how many exams they have completed.
5. Click on View Details to see more information about a particular student.
6. On the Student Details page, you will be able to see detailed information about all the exams the student has done, including the total number of questions presented, number of questions the student got correct, and the percentage of questions that they got correct.
7. Click on the View Details button for a student to see exactly what answers they gave for an exam.
